RAFTR Roofing + Exteriors, an Atlanta-based private equity portfolio firm that has carved a niche within the insurance claim sector, announced on Tuesday that it had launched RAFTRx University, a new employee training and onboarding program.
“The launch of RAFTRx University is a testament to our commitment to our customers and employees,” Gyner Ozgul, CEO of RAFTRx, said in a Dec. 3 news release. “Upon completing RAFTRx University, [new hire talent] will have the skills and knowledge to propel our business as well as their careers forward.”
The company said its first iteration of RAFTRx University is aimed at new project managers entering the roofing and exteriors industry. The four-week program includes virtual and in-person learning, hands-on shadowing, and ride-alongs with experienced team members.
The curriculum focuses on creating a consistent customer experience and covers the insurance claims process. Future iterations will develop curriculums for more experienced employees.
Matt Spanton, president of RAFTRx’s Southeast Division is leading RAFTRx University. The company said Spanton has more than 20 years of experience in construction and claims consulting and a “strong record” of helping clients manage large loss claim restoration projects.
“With a standardized training platform in place, I expect our revenue to increase up to 30 percent in the new year,” Spanton said. “From prior experience, there is tremendous value in having all your employees, and especially your junior team members, on the same page from an operations and customer experience standpoint.”
