PARSIPPANY, NJ (January 26, 2021) – GAF, a Standard Industries company and North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, today announced the appointment of John Altmeyer as Executive Chairman, GAF Commercial Roofing, effective February 1. Altmeyer previously served for 21 years as President of Carlisle Construction Materials, which he grew to be the largest and most profitable of Carlisle’s operating units.
In this new role, Altmeyer will develop and lead a multi-year strategy focused on making GAF number one in the commercial roofing market. Altmeyer will report directly to David Winter and David Millstone, Co-CEOs of Standard Industries.
